It is only recently that I began to meditate on the goofy saying ” seeing is believing”; the most abused and overly used saying that I have been hearing begining from junior school which is, passively accepted by many; it is mainly used in commercial advertisements. Why don’t we question the information that is dumped to us by the media? Many people think all the junk information in the media is true and genuine. They don’t even realize these giant radio, tv and newspaper stations are controlled and manipulated by small group of elites/entities. Informations are severely twisted, deformed and fraudulent and inauthentic garbage are added to it: before they reach the population, who are easily spoon-fed by these counterfeit organizations. They broadcast constantly outright lies; for critical minded people this is not information but indoctrination. They fill the uncritical and unquestioning mind with malafide, processed and fabricated information. In simple terms they indoctrinate the mass so as to easily manipulate and implant their unholy agenda. This brainwashing and societal stupidity is socially engineered by highly trained psychologists and implemented by hired expert jounalists to control what you think, what you believe, what you eat and drink, what you consume (buy) and even how you behave; it might sound strange but, that is the fact. No matter how democratic a government is, to hack the mind of its people and implement its hidden agenda, misinforming the innocent minds is inevitable: which is pathetic. The renowned scholar noam Chomsky wonderfully put it this way: he said, ” Governments will use whatever technology is available to them to combat their primary enemy__ their own population.”
Here, it is important to note that the mainstream media is not only manipulated by irresponsible governments, to worsen the matter it is even infiltrated by individual billionairs and business tycoons. These wicked entities mercilessly attack the media in two different ways. The first attack is through the power of money. This is performed by multi-millionaires and moguls by hiring reputable and skilled journalists, who are actually ” intellectual harlots: to misinform the mass. Let’s look at a pathetic yet wonderful confession of John Swinton, a former managing editor of The New York Times (and New York Sun). He said, “There is no such thing, at this date of the world’s history, in America, as an independent press. You know it and I know it. There is not one of you who dares to write your honest opinions, and if you did, you know beforehand that it would never appear in print. I am paid weekly for keeping my honest opinion out of the paper I am connected with. Others of you are paid similar salaries for similar things, and any of you who would be so foolish as to write honest opinions would be out on the streets looking for another job. If I allowed my honest opinions to appear in one issue of my paper, before twenty-four hours my occupation would be gone. The business of the journalists is to destroy the truth; to lie outright; to pervert; to vilify; to fawn at the feet of mammon, and to sell his country and his race for his daily bread. You know it and I know it and what folly is this toasting an independent press? We are the tools and vassals of rich men behind the scenes. We are the jumping jacks, they pull the strings and we dance. Our talents, our possibilities and our lives are all the property of other men. We are intellectual prostitutes.” -John Swinton
Irresponsible and mammonic journalists had been paid or are being paid for misinforming and hidding facts which expose the devilish deeds of notorious organizations such as CIA and MOSAD. Famed Watergate reporter carl bernstein exposes this fact by saying: ” CIA has already purchased and paid for many successful journalists.” This covert mission of intellectuall crime is perpetuating from time to time causing dire consequences.
The second attack is by the means of covert Intel. This is performed by controlling the key technology sector. Goverments and intelligence egencies understood well that information is as valuable as gold, and he who controls information can use that data for political gain, power and wealth. It is for this sole purpose that the covert operation which was dubbed as “operation mockingbird” started and diligently worked on by its creators. Through this secret Intel operation, many inhumane and immoral deeds were hid or disinformation was disseminated by which many were made to passively believe the hoaxes and trust the medias.
Most contemporary societies spend much time sitting in front of a “tube” called TV, through which information bullocks are dumped to thier mind; it is time to stop holding remote controll and jumping from channel to chanel only to defile your mind and to be deceived; put that remote aside, pick up a book and read or make researches, so that you can save yourself and others from being manipulated and being deceived.
When we sit back and think for a moment, one doesn’t need to be a witty person to realize the psychological, social, economical, political and health havocs inflicted to the [uncritical] innocent minds by the media. How many people psychologically raped by the carefully engineered advertisements and forced to buy things only to find themselves in a debt? How many teenagers involved in a premarital [unsafe] sex, because they were simply brainwashed and believed the fictitious characters in movies? How many girls fall victims of unwanted pregnancy simply motivated by the lewdness (lasciviousness) of a legendary movie star in a movie? And how many teens got in to the addiction of cigarette and drug abuse simply brainwashed by the advertisement of the horse riding muscular man in the Marlboro ad? Or simply impressed by Bradpit smoking? The list goes on; and it is endless. The damage is much worse in teenagers (hormon driven beings) than in adults: but this does not mean adults are free. As long as they stop intellectual scrutiny of informations and allow the media to manipulate them, they will still remain being victims.
Here any witty reader poses an inevitable question: which is, what are we supposed to do? In this case much is expected from the learned section of the society. The burden of alerting the mass and exposing the lies and deceptions of the media is on the shoulder of the educated individuals. In the first place, any scholar need to be alert or vigilant of the hoaxes of the media; s/he need to investigate for facts and truth himself/herself, then only that particular scholar will be able to alert the layman.
The process of alerting can be done in different ways that can be by: creating blogs, websites and YouTube lectures. Any responsible scholar shouldn’t keep the truth for him/herself; that person should take the initiation to acquaint the mass with the deceptions and mysterious unholy agendas of the mainstream medias.
Otherwise people will keep being comfortable in trusting the media and being spoonfed by it. Let’s tell them that, what they see is a fabricated lie, because in this era of globalization SEEING IS NOT BELIEVING.
